Selective Color Adjustments in Photoshop

Selective Color Adjustments:
Selective Color is a powerful tool found in all versions of Photoshop, which can be used for color correction.  It is a technique use by high-end scanners and separation programs to change the amount of process colors in each of the primary color components in an image. Even though Selective Color uses CMYK colors to correct an image, you can use it on RGB images also.

You can use following few steps to make Selective Color Adjustments:
1. Choose any image in which you like to use Selective Color Adjustments.
2. Choose Image > Adjustments > Selective Color. This will open the Selective Color dialog box.
3. In the Adjustments panel, choose the color you want to adjust from the Colors menu.
4. For better result click the Preview option in the Selective Color dialog box.
5. Choose a method from the Adjustments panel menu – Relative or Absolute.
Relative: It changes the existing amount of cyan, magenta, yellow or black by its percentage of the total.
Absolute: It adjusts the color in absolute values.
5. Drag the sliders to increase or decrease the components in the selected color. The Save button in Selective Color dialog box is to save your setting and with Load option you can reuse your saved settings on other images.

Following few Figures will help you to understand it clearly:

In this tutorial I have shown you only one option, but there are many other options which can be use according to the image you are using. So, try with some other options of it and see the difference.
